WINTER IS CLOSING IN from News of the James Fanshawe: Racehorse Trainer website.

We have now got through most of the sales season and now concentrating on the winter months. Six horses went to the Horses In Training Sales, some of the fillies have been retired to their owners studs and others are on holiday until the middle of December. We have a couple of nice fillies going to the December Sales. MAGICAL DREAMER who has done us so proud by winning five times and rated 98 (all weather) and 95 (turf) is heading to the December Sales and hopefully to stud. She will still have one more run for us as. She is due to run at Doncaster in a Listed race on Saturday but has turned out to be very hot with the likes of Librisa Breeze, Donjuan Triumphand and the olde boy Gordon Lord Byron as well as some good youngsters coming along. She would have gone straight to the Listed 6f race at Lingfield the following week but as there is a maximum of twelve runner she may easily not get in.

It is horrible seeing empty stables and knowing horses are not coming back again. We were very sad to say goodbye to PTARMIGAN RIDGE and MAZZINI last week at the Horses In Training Sale. PTARMIGAN RIDGE still has improvement in him and is with Richard Hughes and looks as if he is going to run at Doncaster on Saturday for them. MAZZINI has been around for a long time and had a great run this year winning three races on the turf and all weather. He has gone to race in Dubai for the winter and may be back in the UK next year.

THE TIN MAN will be staying here over the winter and will get turned out when the weather is nice. He was very fresh after The Qipco Sprint but unfortunately there was nothing more to go for.

We will have a few runners over the winter but not many. A few yearlings arrive at Pegasus this week all broken in so they will keep us busy over the couple of months.
