THE TIN MAN & YOGI having a catch up!

THE TIN MAN ran an extremely encouraging first race for seven months to just get pipped for fourth place in The Gp2 Duke of York Stakes. We were delighted as we have only had him on the grass once this spring and he hardly sets the world alight at home. We actually thought for a second that he might but he just got very tired. We had so many little set backs for him last year and sometimes it was such a rush to get him to some of the races but so far this year he has been great. Tom Queally was delighted with him and said he did everything right bar win. he was very good in the stalls, jumped well and travelled well. As long as we do not have any set backs he will head to Royal Ascot and The Diamond Jubilee. He looks great this morning and very pleased with himself. He was not very impressed with the conditions yesterday before the race yesterday and looked very miserable.

Moat of THE TIN MANS owners braved the bad weather to be at York. It is a great syndicate and everyone gets on very well and we have had lots of fun.

FLEUR FORSYTE did even better than TTM by winning her second ever race at Salisbury this afternoon. She is a filly that James has always liked a lot and was completely puzzled by her bad run last autumn. Dan Muscutt gave her a lovely ride and he is very good on filliesas he showed on STONEY BROKE the previous day. She can be a bit too keen but he settled her well to finishe second at Yarmouth.

We have a nice filly running at Newmarket tonight owned by Elite Racing called TRIBUTE ACT by Exceed & Excel. She won her only race last year and is out of a full sister to SOVIET SONG called SISTER ACT. She is also a half sister to RIBBONS (Manduro). Another top class performer from the family is the sprinter Marsha.
