FLORISS who is a Medicean half sister to DONT STARE won the mile maiden nicely beating the well fancied favourite Figment. She had a lovely position throughout the race keeping tabs on the favourite and won well rather nicely in the end. Her previous race was also at the course but she hadn't been drawn so well and it was a furlong shorter. She was bred by Guy & Karen Gredley who then leased her to a syndicate. FLORISS is their first mare and was chosen by Karen who also chose the mating of Medicean. Hopefully more fun days ahead.

HE'S MY BOY loves Newmarket and it was nearly a year since his last win there. He looks fantastic at the moment and he was the pick of the paddock. He was one of the few horses that came from behind on the night. He is owned by Paul Ryan who was unable to see him win as he was in hospital having just had anew hip. He was back home by Sunday when we went round to celebrate with him and his wife Gaynor.

STAR STORM is improving and although still a maiden finished fourth in The Listed Glasgow Stakes at Hamilton. It was very soft ground and he got quite tired but has come home and looks great. He is a lovely looking horse by Sea the Stars.

SPEEDY BOARDING'S ran well in The Irish Oaks but was just no match on the day to some in front of her. She is a big filly who will go on improving and getting stronger. She is likely to be a better four year old but hopefully still has a nice win her this year. SPIRIT RAISER ran another good race to get beaten two short heads in the 0-100 Fillies Handicap at Newbury. LEONARDO'S finishing position didn't do him justice in his first race of the year. Tony Hamilton liked him and said that he will come on a ton for his first run of the year.

ACQUITTAL ran well to finish second at Lingfield today (Wednesday 22nd July) and was doing all her best work at the finish.

We had been looking forward to running the two year old REPLENISH tomorrow but unfortunately he was found to have an abscess in his foot last night. He is a lovely Le Havre colt bought at the Guineas Breeze Up Sales. We still have THE TIN MAN and ELIZONA going to Doncaster tomorrow night. They both went racing together last time they both ran. They both look well at home. THE TIN MAN is a half brother to DEACON BLUES.

We have had a lot of visitors over the past week and today was not exception. We had the Johnstones who came to see MR PICKWICK gallop on the Cambridge Road Polytrack with DONT STARE & DROMCUS. He is such a big horse but all of a sudden he is begining to look like a racehorse and every piece of work he is improving. Steve & Pat Rowley came to see LORD GEORGE out second lot. He is a big two year old by Sir Percy out of a Linamix mare who is going nicely. He is owned by the Fred Archer - Bend Or partnership and they could all have some fun with him. The unraced ESTEEMABLE & OSIPOVA looked to be enjoying themselves. The three two year olds ENMESHING, BATAILLES and COLUMN went together. COLUMN looked the most forward.

FRED ARCHER RACING had to sell their first horse at The July Sales which was PRESTO BOY. He had shown so much at home but we couldn't get it out of him on the racetrack. He has gone to Richard Hughes who may find the key to him. We are now down to two horses but hopefully we will buy one or two yearlings this year.
