The majority of the horses are working well although we have had a couple of disappointments. We desperately need some rain as the grass is very firm to work on. James has been sticking to The Al Bahathri and The Cambridge Road Polytrack. He worked on those two gallops on Saturday and also today.

ZEST who is likely to run at Kempton on Saturday in The Snowdrop Stakes worked nicely on the Al Bahathri. She is a very frustrating filly as she has so much talent but we do not always see it on the racecourse. We are hoping as she grows up she will be more consistent and we will see the ability we know she has. Her aunt SOVIET SONG got beaten into second place in her first race as a four year old.

We had some unraced and backward three year olds galloping on the Cambridge Road gallop. Theya re all coming along. Brothers STAR STORM and RAINING STARS and WARM OASIS went a good strong canter and all looked to be enjoying themselves.

LORD GEORGE is running at Newcastle on Friday. Unfortunately most of the Fred Archer Racing - Bend Or syndicate who own him are unable to go and see him run. He seems in excellent form at home which we hopefully he will transfer on to the racecourse. George Wood 'did' him last year but had to give him up due to his riding commitments. He is actually going to ride him on Friday and take five pounds off his back. I think all the partners are very happy that he is riding him.

It would have been good to run HIGHER POWER in The Further Flight Stakes at Nottingham today if the ground had been softer. Instead he is going to run in The Queens Prize at Kempton. He looks so well and in cracking form.

We are having a promotional video made for Fred Archer Racing. A gang of FAR owners came to help out with the film. David Fleming from RACING POST TV was the person who organised it all and Sam was the camaeraman. It was really good fun until I had to do an interview where I completely clammed up and feel very embaressed by my performance!!

MASTER ARCHER had a little canter this morning after running a fine race at Windsor on Monday. He is a lovely horse and it would be a surprise if he didn't improve for his run. He looked fantastic in the paddock and we should have some fun with him this year.

I was so thrilled to be at Windsor to see SOCIETY ROCK have his first winner when Charlie Hill's ROCK OF ESTONIA won. He did not look anything like his Dad. He was a chestnut for a starter and looked rather bigger than SR. He definitely knew his job and was very professional making all. The following day he had another winner CORINTHIA KNIGHT who won by three lengths. We have two SOCIETY ROCK"S here at Pegasus. Fred Archer Racing's SOCIETY PRINCE who is out of the Gone West mare Princess Atoosa whose dam was Champion Filly Kooyonga and SPORTING BILL out of Pandora's Secret by Monashee Mountain who is owned by Simon Gibson who also owned SOCIETY ROCK when he was in training.
