ARCHERS DREAM Running in Gp3 Summer Stakes Today.

Posted on: 12th Jul 2019

ARCHERS DREAM headed up the A1 to York yesterday afternoon for her first run in a Gp3. She is running against sixteen opponents in The Summer Stakes at York. this afternoon It will be new experience for her o be running in such a wide open space and having to cross the course to be saddled up. Where she has run before, Doncaster, Yarmouth & Salisbury we have been able to saddle her up in her stable and just walked her over to the parade ring. She is a very laid back character so it shouldn't be a problem to her. It is also the biggest course she has run on. We would have preferred a little bit more juice in the ground but not as much as Salisbury where it was very soft and she only just saw six furlongs out. Helen our head girl said it was good to firm and almost good at York this morning but it will dry out a bit before the race at 3.15. We are all very excited about running her. It would be a surprise if she wasn't the smallest horse in the race but that has no bearing on her ability or her will to win.
