THE TIN MAN Strikes Gold

Posted on: 2nd Oct 2015

The winners enclosure at Ascot is on a par with Cheltenham. To have your horse heading in to it is a very proud moment. The partners in THE TIN MAN experienced that yesterday with their very exciting and progressive horse. It had been a disappointing day at York on September 6th when THE TIN MAN had disappointed. He had scoped dirty three weeks earlier and had had a course of anti biotics as did RIBBONS also. They both ran similar races afterwards but bounced back in their next races.

The partners in FRED ARCHER RACING -ORMONDE are very excited about the future of there half brother to former stable star DEACON BLUES.

At the moment it does not look like he will have another race this year and be put away now. If he is absolutely bouncing and Tom Fanshawe who rides him every day thinks he is still well we may think about another race.

Tom Queally and I then headed off to Wolverhampton to see another FRED ARCHER RACING horse LORD GEORGE win only his second race. He is not bred to be a two year old so this was an extra boost for the partnership. He should get better with age being by Sir Percy out of a Linamix mare. He will definitely not run again this year and have the winter to strengthen and mature and will be a jolly nice horse next year.
