SPEEDY BOARDING dashes to the front in France

Posted on: 29th May 2016

The week started off well with THE TIN MAN winning the Listed Leisure Stakes SPEEDY BOARDING ensured that it finished even better when winning the Group Two Prix Corrida at Saint Cloud.

2015 was not a good year for the Shamardal ex Dash To The Front filly. Having won her maiden followed by the Listed Ballymacoll Stakes at Newbury things unfortunately did not pan out for this filly. She headed off to the Curragh for The Irish Oaks where she put in a lack lustre performance but returning back to Pegasus with the worst case of ringworm we have seen. She was really below par for quite a while and was never really fired the rest of the season.

She has started 2016 in a completely different vain. She ran a great first race in The Middleton Stakes at York where she just missed out on fourth. From that run we knew that she would win a nice race this year and so she proved in Saint Cloud on Sunday. She had a lovely position throughout and Freddy Tylicki rode a beautiful race on her.

She will make a lovely addition to the broodmare band at Meon Valley Stud when she eventually goes off to have babies.
