James decided to make a visit to Goffs UK Sale at Doncaster today to have a look at some SOCIETY ROCK yearlings and ended up buying one. The one we bought is the spitting image of his Dad but with a bigger set of ears. Bill Dixon who looked after SOCIETY ROCK took one look at his picture and could not believe how like his sire he was and immediately said he wanted 'to do him'. I have been promising Andy Hopkins, who rode him out everyday, a photo for years so was thrilled to tell him we had gone one better and got him his son that looked just like him. We are all very excited and look forward to his arrival in Newmarket tomorrow.

He was consigned by Tally Ho Stud who stood SOCIETY ROCK for three seasons until his untimely death earlier this year. The last photos I have of him, sent to me by Tally Ho, he is being led by the same lad that led this yearling up today. This colts second dam Kooyonga won an Irish 1000Gns, Eclipse Stakes and Coronation Cup as well as being second in an English 1000Gns. Was Champion filly in Ireland in 1991 and champion Older filly in Europe in 1992.

The likelihood is that he will race under the Fred Archer Racing banner and we will have to look for some owners for him. As the rest of our partnerships we will have ten shares.

Hopefully exciting times ahead.
