THE TIN MAN RAN in the Qipco Champion Sprint for the sixth time on Saturday and it will definitely be the last time. although he has won two Gp1's at Ascot he has shown recently that he doesn't like the course so much these days and specially when it is soft ground. He had run an excellent race in The Bengough Stakes, that was run at York this year, the previous weekend when he came from a long way back to get second but he enjoys being ridden like that. James is not known for running horses back in a week but as it is late in the season and he was off for a holiday this week we thought we would run him. Next season if he still shows he is as enthusiastic as ever and enjoying his training and racing we will continue to run him but bypass the Gp1's.
Later this week he will go off to Fittocks Stud for a good holiday until the end of the year.
