One, Two, Three

The yard had three wins, PERMISSION, ENVISAGING & CAPE TO CUBa on the trot. They were followed by two year old SLEEPING LION running an excellent first time race. PERMISSION has just come good in the last couple of months when everything has slotted in to place. She use to be quite keen but has settled down well which meant she was able to run over 1m2f which seems much more to her liking. She had been runner up on two Listed events at Newmarket before putting in an excellent performance to win The James Seymour Stakes at Newmarket. She is a half sister to good sprinter Cotai Glory but she is by Authorized which gives her more stamina. ENVISAGING is a horse that James has always liked has who has run well on so many occasions that it was very satisfying to see him win at Newcastle on Saturday evening. He is a charming horses who everyone enjoys riding.

On Monday CAPE TO CUBA who had threatened to win on a couple of occasions but mostly though bad luck had not been able to get her head in front on the line. Ridden by George Wood who gave her a lovely ride to win quite nicely by three lengths. She has been placed in most of her races and has been unlucky on a couple of occasions so it would have been a great confidence boost for her.

Our two year olds are beginning to run very well. SLEEPING LION who is from the Sleepytime family ran very well to finish fourth in his first race. The likelihood is that he will stay a mile and a half next year and he was doing all his best work in the final couple of furlongs. I think he will be a lovely horse next year. The race was run at furious pace which ended up as a Juvenile Track Record.
