Lordy Lord

Posted on: 7th Jan 2018

It took a visor for us to see the ability we felt LORD GEORGE really had. At home he shows a lovely turn of foot but he has always looked very one pace on the track. Last night with the addition of a visor to help him concentrate in the last couple of furlongs he paid us back handsomely by carrying top weight and winning well. We hope that he will go on from this now. He loves the all weather but we also think that he enjoys the good firm to summer turf. He does not like anything that has soft in the description. He is probably just getting his strength as he is a big horse that has always looked quite weak. That is his fourth win in all and he has run some very good races without winning. His fourth in the Northumberland Plate only beaten a length and a half was an excellent run.

He is owned by a very enthusiastic lot of people in the Fred Archer - Bend Or syndicate who were very happy with his win last night. Kempton were kind and gave us all champagne to celebrate the win. Our trip home went very quickly and lots of talk about LORD GEORGE'S future.

Anyone wanting to join a Fred Archer Syndicate either now or in the future please email Jacko at jacko@jamesfanshawe.com or through our web site www.fredarcherracing.com,
