LORD GEORGE wins again.

Posted on: 12th Jun 2016

LORD GEORGE now has a fifty per cent win rate having won his second race. Tom Queally just got him up to win a short head at yarmouth on Thursday. It was only his fourth race and he was up against hardened older horses but did jolly well to win. It looked as if he sauntered to the front and that it was going to be very easy for him but Sbraase was stalkking him and gave him a race and us a heart attack! He is still very much the unfinished article and very babyish still so we hope there will be plenty of improvement in him.

We have an exciting week ahead with all being well five runners at Royal Ascot. On Wednesday SPIRIT RAISER and HORS DE COMBAT take each other on in The Royal Hunt Cup. HORS DE COMBAT will not appreciate all the rain which is a shame as he is in terrific form. Friday we have MISSED CALL running in The Duke of Edinburgh Hadicap. She loves Ascot and although she has never won on soft ground she should not mind it. ARTHENUS has always looked a nice horse at home but unfortunately he has not shown it on the racecourse this season yet. He is running on Saturday in The Wolferton Stakes. THE TIN MAN is in The Diamond Jubilee which we won with SOCIETY ROCK a few years ago. A very exciting week for the yard. We ill of course have runner elsewhere.

POINTEL goes back to Windsor where he ran an excellent race first time out. The only other one that is a definite is HE'S MY BOY in the apprentice race at Newmarkets evening meeting on Friday.
