BOMBYX & THE TIN MAN HEADS THE YARDS RUNNERS THIS WEEKEND from News of the James Fanshawe: Racehorse Trainer website.

BOMBYX has got a big task ahead of him in The Gordon Stakes at Goodwood tomorrow. He is a lovely horse that is growing up all the time and is mentally much stronger than he was at the beginning of the season. He is also a very good mover so should not mind the firmer ground. He was bred by his owners Victoria and Anthony Pakenham who also owned his sire Sir Percy. His dam is Bombazine which is a material made of silk and BOMBYX is a member of the silkworm family so that is how he got his name.

We are looking forward to running THE TIN MAN in the Prix Maurice de Gheest on Sunday. He is on his way as I type this and we just hope that he has a good trip. He has got a huge horsebox to himself so has plenty of room. He looked great when he was leaving the yard and he has been in good form at home although he doesn't show an awful lot at home.

Most of his ten partners plus wives or husbands will be there on Sunday so we will ahve a good day anyway whatever. James is happy with his stall three. We dont usually have the luxury of a good draw when THE TIN MAN runs.

SCARAMANGA is due to run at Doncaster on Saturday. He has been a little disappointing so far as he is a horse we really like at home. Hopefully we will see a bit more from him tomorrow tonight at Doncaster.
