AIRWAY Lands A Win At Chelmsford

Posted on: 7th Sep 2017

AIRWAY kicked off a busy three days for Pegasus Stables by winning 1m2f Wickham Engineering Maiden Stakes (Class 4) (3yo+) the last race at Chelmsford on Thursday evening. He isn't very big but showed he is all heart when battling to hold off the Godolphin favourite Ennjaaz. He was ridden by George Wood who did well to fight off the favourite and looked to be going away in the end.

I think AIRWAY will be the first winner for Freddy Tylicki who is co-owner with Catherine Wills who also bred this gelding. This was only his second start having finished third at Nottingham first time out.
